Marketing in South Korea

Recently Tell Your Story’s Graduate Resident, Ella Cooper, had the opportunity to study abroad. Working toward her Master’s in Global Strategic Communication at Loyola University, Ella traveled to Seoul, South Korea to study the differences in marketing and communication strategies between South Korea and the U.S. through guest speakers and hands-on, real-world learning. She’s bringing her insights back to the TYS team. Read her summary of what she learned.

Tell Your Story Slam 4

Everyone has a great story to tell. In that spirit, in partnership with the historic Wilmette Theatre in Wilmette, IL, we created Tell Your Story Slam. Established in 2023, we give individuals opportunities to tell their personal stories. During our recent fourth annual Slam event, Ellen Greene shared a powerful journey through family secrets, mental health, and healing. Through art and reflection, she breaks the silence of generational trauma with honesty and heart.

Hot For Community News

Tell Your Story was proud to support and sponsor Heat Check, a recent hot-wing challenge and fundraiser inspired by the hit YouTube show “Hot Ones” to raise funds for The Record North Shore, a local nonprofit community newsroom. Our founder and Record board member, George Rafeedie, emceed the event, auctioning items such as cups of ranch dressing, pitchers of milk and bowls of ice cream to help cool things down. A fun time was had by all!

Myths, Metrics, and Magic of HubSpot

Founder George Rafeedie recently sat down with HubSpot Consultant, Jonathan Snavely, to discuss some of the myths, metrics, and magic of HubSpot. With a background in marketing and sales and extensive experience using HubSpot, Jonathan is a seasoned expert. George Rafeedie loves bringing people together to achieve things they couldn’t accomplish on their own. One way George achieves this purpose is through his story marketing agency, Tell Your Story Brand Communications Inc. (Tell Your Story). George started Tell Your Story, based in the Chicago area, in 2009 after several years at agencies and in corporate roles, including starting the Chicago office of what is now Merkle B2B (Dentsu). Prior to that, George spent a few years in corporate PR and marketing roles with Baxter Healthcare Corporation and Arthur Andersen. Prior to that, George started his career at a PR firm and B2B marketing agency in Cincinnati. In between, he received a masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University’s Medill School. His undergrad degree in journalism and PR is from Ohio University.
