Amplifying Our Stories at #CMWorld

Tell Your Story was at Content Marketing World 2013 in Cleveland earlier this month, enjoying keynotes, break out sessions, Lunch and Learns and connecting with friends, old and new.  Attendees had the opportunity to take part in some fantastic content conversations throughout the conference, whether they were on site and in person or following #CMWorld and watching the live streaming sessions from a distance.  We're so glad Tell Your Story was there to be part of the “Amplify Your Story” dialogue.  Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the conference.  Visit us on Facebook to see more #CMWorld photos.   [caption id="attachment_1629" align="aligncenter" width="614"] Joe Pulizzi and George at #CMWorld[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1632" align="aligncenter" width="368"] Jonathan Mildenhall of Coca Cola talks Liquid Storytelling[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1635" align="aligncenter" width="512"] George at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame[/caption]  ...

SVM Debuts New Brand Identity at #SHRM13

What annual conference connects over 15,000 human resource professionals to 800 exhibitors under one roof? None other than the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) expo! Tell Your Story had the opportunity to witness the excitement firsthand this week at the SHRM 2013 Annual Conference & Expo at McCormick Place. This year’s turnout was reportedly the largest in the show’s history—even the show’s Twitter hashtag, #SHRM13, was a trending topic on the social media site.   With a guest speaker lineup including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Blake Mycoskie, and Mark Kelly and Gabby Giffords, hundreds of educational sessions, and a performance by Kelly Clarkson, there was undoubtedly enough to be excited about. However, the Tell Your Story team was most enthusiastic about the chance to work hand-in-hand with client SVM, a global leader in incentive and motivation solutions, in their booth.         Over the past few months, Tell Your Story developed and launched an integrated...

NeoCon: The Ultimate Paradise for Architects & Designers

If you’re an architect or designer, you’ve undoubtedly heard about and have likely attended NeoCon, the largest design exposition and conference for commercial interiors in North America. A show chock-full of inspiration and innovation, this is where creativity came to life for over 40,000 A&D professionals and over 700 exhibitors last week at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.   As a NeoCon newbie, I was amazed to see how celebrated and highly regarded the show is throughout the A&D community—truly a creative’s paradise. Whether you’re drifting through Steelcase’s colossal permanent showroom on the 3rd floor, exploring the exhibitor booths on 7 and 8, or trying to navigate the elevators and food court during the lunch rush, you can’t escape the sense of excitement and urgency from tens of thousands of people trying to soak it all in.   Tell Your Story client, USG Corporation, was exhibiting their new Pixels Wall Mounted Panels so most of my...

Sometimes You Need a “Get to the Ball” Strategy

It’s important at some point in your career to realize what you can and cannot do as a professional. Once you realize your strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, limitations and opportunities, you will have a much happier career.   Take my soccer coaching career as an example. Now I’m not a soccer guy. Far from it. But I do love seeing my boys (8 and 5 years old) in competition and running out there. One day, I get asked to help out the main coach at practice. I was hooked.   My soccer coaching skills consist of a little stretching, some fun, humor and a lot of energy focused on one thing – “get to the ball!” For pre-K to second grade, it has worked out well. I have a great winning percentage, happy boys and appreciative parents who give me gift cards at the season-ending pizza party.   [caption id="attachment_1426" align="aligncenter" width="300"] The Red Lightening posted...
