Greetings!
I am Ella Cooper, a recent graduate of the University of Oregon, where I studied Public Relations and Sociology. I just recently moved to Chicago, and don’t get me wrong, I loved going to school in Oregon, but I am definitely looking forward to the sun shining more than three months a year. I grew up in southern Illinois and always dreamed of going to school far away to experience a different part of the country. I’m so glad I made that decision because it is what ultimately led me back to home base, and I’m so happy to be here.
When deciding what to do post-grad, everything felt so overwhelming. Everyone was doing something different, and I didn’t know where I fit. I knew I wanted to go to graduate school, but I also wanted to gain real-world, hands-on experience. Thankfully, after months of networking (and LinkedIn dominating my screen time), I finally found the perfect opportunity.
As of August, I am a student at Loyola University Chicago pursuing my master’s in Global Strategic Communication and the newest graduate resident at Tell Your Story. TYS has made all that I envisioned for myself this year a reality. I am so excited to work on and learn more about content and social strategy and connect with the amazing team.
When I am not working on school or a project for TYS, you may find me walking on the waterfront, at a yoga class, or spending time with my friends and family. I love meeting and collaborating with other individuals and can’t wait to see what these next years bring!
