Full Time Social Media and PR Specialist Wanted

Tell Your StoryWe are looking for a full time Social Media and PR Specialist to join our team.  We are looking for someone with 2 to 3 years of experience with a PR firm or marketing agency, in a similar role.  The candidate would need the ability to work remotely, however, there will be shared office availability.  Benefits would include a flexible and nimble work culture, health insurance, 401K and a competitive paid time off policy.

 

We will be evaluating candidates based on the following criteria:

 

Writing: We need someone with excellent writing and editing skills that is comfortable writing for business-to-business products and services like building products and trucking and financing and technology and home health care, and more. There is also opportunity for sports/sponsorship social media and PR work.  The candidate must also be able to help write proposals, press releases and blog posts, and be able to summarize research and develop creative briefs.

 

Social Media: We need someone who is familiar and not afraid of diving into and implementing newly established social media programs for our clients. Must understand how we use social media outlets like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, WordPress and others to reach our target audience who are business decision makers. Must manage, tweet, post, re-tweet and make suggestions on a daily basis. Must manage our “conversation editorial calendar” and help manage social media contests and promotions.

 

Public Relations: We need someone who understands the basics of PR, media relations and how it integrates into social media and the overall marketing mix. Build media lists, write press releases, pitch media…etc.

 

Monitor and Measure and Report: Must be comfortable monitoring all activity, both in social media as well as online and traditional media, and report back on how our initiatives are helping us achieve our clients’ business goals.

 

Project Management: We need someone who can help our team and clients get organized, get smarter and stay on time and within budgets. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online social media tools and other programs to be discussed a requirement.
